Absences - Unexcused/Truancy/Cutting Class/
A student will be considered truant if he/she is absent without knowledge or consent of parent. It must also be noted that parents cannot detain their children from school attendance without legal cause. (Ohio Revised Code 3321.18, 3321.19, and 3321.20.)
The following disciplinary steps can be interchanged as needed, at any time.
Chronic truancy will be referred to attendance monitor/municipal court. The disciplinary procedure for truancy or unexcused absences is as follows:
The HHS Cheerleaders are selling calendars featuring pics of several of the senior athletes. They will go on sale in mid August for $15. There will be a limited number available and we look to sell out quickly. These calendars are really neat!!!!
The Big Blue Footballs Team is selling the "Blue Cards" again this year. 100% of the funds go to the football program. Participating businesses include:
