Hamilton High School Crisis Intervention/Response Team

The following procedures have been adopted by the Hamilton High School as standard operating procedures and guiding principles for dealing with crisis intervention and response in the event of an emergency or traumatic event.:

I. MISSION:
The mission of the Crisis Intervention/Response Team (CIRT) is to
Facilitate intervention and response services to students, faculty/staff and
in the aftermath of a traumatic event in our school. Intervention includes,
but is not limited to;

  1. Assisting students, faculty/staff in the aftermath of an attempted and/or completed suicide;
  2. Assisting students, faculty/staff in the aftermath of a crisis related to our school community;
  3. Assessing the impact of the event in our school;
  4. Intervention of "high risk" students who may have thoughts of possible self-injury;
  5. Continue to update our intervention/response plans and providing individual/group support prior to/during/after a crisis.


The CIRT is available to provide support to any/all Hamilton High School students, faculty/staff upon request".
