NJROTC Wins 1st at Anderson, IN Regional Drill Meet
The Hamilton High NJROTC Unit Commanded by Senior Jorge Flores competed against 7 other JROTC units from Ohio, Indiana and Illinois this past Saturday in a Regional Drill Competition in Anderson, Indiana. Among those competing was Northmont High School, last year's Area 3 Champion and National Championship Competitor. They competed in Drill, Academics and Air Rifle Competitions. Performing well in all seven competitions, the Big Blue NJROTC Unit came in first place in the overall competition.
The Unarmed Drill Team commanded by Senior Jessie Johnson, the Armed Exhibition Team commanded by Senior Jeremy Lehman and the Unarmed Exhibition Team commanded by Sophomore Deziree Dryer, all came in second place. The Academic Team and Armed Drill Team commanded by Senior Jesse Johnson came in third place. The personnel inspection team came in fourth place and the Color Guard came in fifth place.
