1. Provide an instrument in good working condition.
2. Provide the necessary supplies (listed above).
3. Provide an adequate place for practice.
4. Schedule a daily practice time and make sure your son/daughter uses the time very day.  There has never been a child who hasn’t needed a “reminder” to practice from his parents.
5. Make sure your son/daughter takes the instrument to school on lesson days.
6. Encourage your child--your interest and praise does more than   anything else to keep them working on their instrument.

If you have any concerns or questions, contact the teacher as soon as possible so any small problems can be taken care of before they develop into big ones.
